The history of vibration monitoring equipment
Vibrations monitoring is already done for a few years. Back in 1988, it was awfully hard to measure the vibrations. The kits that were used to measure those vibrations consisted of a huge measurement system and a drag-and-drop computer. The people that worked with that equipment, needed to carry that heavy stuff around. This way of measuring the vibrations was not efficient at all and provided a small amount of useable information. In 1992, the IFCO VM measuring system was invented. This measuring system was a lot better than the old one. But the major improvement came in 2004 when the Axilog was invented. This was the start of the vibration monitoring equipment that we know now.
The equipment we use
There is two important equipment you need to find vibration errors. To measure the vibrations, you will need a vibration monitor. When you buy one of these, it is important to look for a monitor that measures the right frequencies, has a good filter and has a battery that can last a few days without charging. When you have measured the vibrations, you need vibration analysis equipment that will find the possible errors. This equipment will warn you when necessary.
